"We are all broken - that's how the light gets in," Ernest Hemingway once said. Zimbabwe are broken too, with their fielding in shambles at times, struggling on slowest of pitches, with the bat and the ball, only to fail in usurping, and pardon me, at best a second string Indian side. Dav Whatmore was sacked weeks before India arrived, ODI series could fairly be nomenclatured as a phobia - so poorly contested it was - but then came the T20s, cricket's little child that ATMs out joy.
Dhoni: "What happens in this format is the games get close. Zimbabwe batted, bowled and fielded well in this series, which is why it was a close series. As the format gets longer, it will be difficult for them to compete. They need more games to get better and better. I didn't get a chance to bat but I felt it was the right way to play cricket - having opted to bat. Fast bowling is something you need a good pool for.

Samuels: 'We spoke about getting big partnerships during team meetings, so happy with today's work. It was a satisfying innings, but we are now looking forward to Friday, need to forget today's result. I just hope that my purple patch continues for my team. I get fired up when players have something to say for me when I am in the middle. I have some friends in the South African team, looking forward to the next match.'

India vs Zimbabwe series

How Neville Madziva Trumped MS Dhoni

                             in Last-Ball Thriller

It was an outstanding last over from Neville Madziva but India have only themselves to blame for a shocking two-run loss against Zimbabwe in the first Twenty20 of the three-match series in Harare on Saturday.
India needed eight runs to win from the last over and MS Dhoni was at the crease but Madziva held his nerves and bowled with brilliant accuracy to give the Graeme Cremer-led side a sensational win against a team who have been in outstanding form in the shortest format in 2016.
It is a historic win considering that Zimbabwe had failed to qualify for the Super 10 of World Twenty20 and had lost T20 series to Afghanistan earlier this year.
Dhoni took a single off the first ball of the last over to give Axar Patel - who was looking good with the bat - the strike but he was caught by Hamilton Masakadza on the very next ball.
Dhoni once again was at the batting end but a spot-on Madziva didn’t let him go for a big hit and he took another single to give newcomer Rishi Dhawan the strike. He already had a bad day with the ball giving away 42 runs in his four overs and now he was under pressure to score six runs off last three balls.
As Dhawan went right across his stumps, Madziva bowled a wide delivery outside the off stump and it was a dot ball. The next delivery was almost similar and Dhawan tried the same shot but it was given as a wide ball by the umpire.
Dhawan took a single off the next delivery, which meant that India needed a boundary off the last ball and ‘Captain Cool’ this time failed to score the winning runs and the ball outside the off stump was played to backward point for a single.

                       WOMEN'S ICC WORLD TWENTY20 2016

Match Comenatry:All credit has to go to Australia. England looked well set to chase this total down but the defending World Champions held their nerve and took wickets at vital moment. Brilliant captaincy from Lanning she really has led from the front to see her side to the WT20 Final

Player of the Match: Meg Lanning

Lanning: "Healy has been threatening to have a good knock today and we knew the Powerplay was going to be important and that allowed us to gain momentum into our innings. We knew it was going to get hard to bat, we didn't start well with the bat but if we kept bowling at the stumps then we would do well."

Edwards: "We know a lot about each other and play a lot together as well now. We came back brilliantly with the ball and we were happy chasing that score, however we lost our way after a good start. It wasn't meant to be today."
